Ένα γνωστό μπαρ στο ιστορικό κέντρο της Καλαμάτας που έπρεπε να γίνει all day. Η επέμβαση διεύρυνε τα όρια του αρχικού χώρου, ώστε το ίδιο μαγαζί να σηκώνει καφέ, πρωινό και brunch την ημέρα, και μπίρες, κρασιά και κοκτέιλ το βράδυ.

Το κέλυφος μένει ωμό από πάνω και βαμμένο από κάτω: εμφανές σκυρόδεμα στην οροφή με τους ανεμιστήρες, ασβεστωμένο τούβλο στους τοίχους, μωσαϊκό στο δάπεδο. Πάνω σε αυτό, μια συνεχής ζώνη σε πράσινο της μέντας τρέχει σε όλο το μήκος (μπαρ, ερμάρια, ξυλουργικές κατασκευές) και είναι αυτή που δίνει στον χώρο το χρώμα του.

Ο πάγκος του μπαρ κρατά το κέντρο, με τον κατάλογο σε φωτιζόμενες πινακίδες από πάνω και την κουζίνα ορατή πίσω από ανοξείδωτο. Η πινακίδα νέον «φλέρτ!» ορίζει τη γωνία με τον δερμάτινο καναπέ: δεν είναι το μόνο χρώμα του χώρου, είναι το σημείο που τον υπογράφει.

Έξω, μια μικρή βεράντα με πυκνή φύτευση και θέσεις στο ύψος του παραθύρου, κάτω από τα φωτάκια.

A well-known bar in the historic centre of Kalamata that had to become an all-day place. The work pushed out the boundaries of the original room so the same venue could carry coffee, breakfast and brunch by day, then beers, wine and cocktails at night.

The shell stays raw above and painted below: exposed concrete overhead with the fans in it, whitewashed brick on the walls, terrazzo underfoot. Against that, one continuous band of mint green runs the full length (bar, cabinets, joinery) and it is what gives the room its colour.

The bar holds the centre, the menu on lit boards above it and the kitchen visible behind stainless steel. The «φλέρτ!» neon anchors the corner with the leather banquette: not the only colour in the room, but the thing that signs it.

Outside, a small terrace with dense planting and seating at window height, under the festoon lights.
